Worship Services: Dec 27 and Jan 3

Dear Members and Friends of PSNE,

Grace and Peace to you in this Advent and Christmas Season!

We are pleased to share two worship services, for Sunday December 27, 2020 and Sunday January 3, 2021 as a way to give our ministry leaders, worship and music leaders and other other worship leaders – across the Presbytery, the opportunity for two full Sundays of sabbath rest following the busy Christmas season, which was challenged this year by the realities of virtual worship and the growing Covid-19 pandemic in our communities.

These worship services are led by General Presbyter, the Rev. Shannan Vance-Ocamp, and share music from some of our congregations and ministry partners. The liturgies for these services came from the newest book edited and compiled by the Rev. Dr. Claudio Carvalhaes of our Presbytery who teaches worship and liturgy at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Both services also include children’s sermons provided by our Communications Manager, Erika Plank Hagan. Worship on January 3 includes the Sacrament of Communion and a special Star Words liturgy for the ministries of the Presbytery.

As you share these worship services with your local ministry, here is the full information and links for each service.

May this Christmas and Epiphany Season, the turning of one year to the next, be filled with God’s peace, blessings and comfort for you and for those you love and care for. Please know that your ministry and all that you do is a blessing to many in this unprecedented time we are living through.
